[January 2025] No success this time with submissions to the INKFestival, but my play - Immature with Age - has been accepted by LazyBeeScripts.

 

[January 2025]  With reasonable successes during 2024 in selling short stories, I have pitched a draft of a further novel to an agency. We now wait.

 

[September 2023] Finished writing the Circle67 Panto for Jan 2024 - Robin and the Babes in the Wood. Reading and casting up next!

 

[August 2023] Submitted a play - Immature with Age - for 2024 INK Festival.

 

[April/May 2023] Three stories accepted for The Peoples' Friend magazine.

My adaptation of Shakespeare's The Two Gentlemen of Verona will be performed by Circle67 this summer.

Giving a talk at Halesworth Public Library about my novel, Shelf Life.

 

 

[February 2023] Second prize in Writing Magazine Ekphrastic Poetry competition.

 

[November 2022] Short listed in Writing Magazine's 'Shelley' poetry competition.

 

[October 2022] Named 'Writer of the Week' in The People's Friend magazine, and Runner Up in their short story competition.

 

[18th May 2020]  The virus lockdown is limiting any thatre activity but I am posting much more on my blog (see Start Page for details).

 

[23rd January 2019] Have had two plays accepted for production in this year's INK Festival in April.

 

[17th December 2018] My story Body of Evidence has been riding high on the website www.short-story.me for the past week.

 

[1st February 2018] Both plays will be performed at the INK Festival 2018 in April!!

 

[20th December 2017] Two of my one act plays shortlisted for the INK Festival 2018: The Bogeyman and Lost in Translation.

 

[30th September 2017]

Finally completed first draft of current novel The Failed Buddhist. Now the editing begins!

 

I will be reading poems at the Suffolk Poetry Festival on 27th May 2017.

[23rd November 2015] Just about completed editing/proofing of current novel Shelf Life

 

[6th November 2015] Made the short list in Writing Magazine poetry competition.

 

[12th October 2015] Slough Writers' play night Six of One at Burnham Library Festival included my play Holding Up a Mirror.

 

[22nd August 2015] Director's Club Showcase The Interview monologues will be performed tomorrow night. Rehearsals are going well.

 

[23rd June 2015] My five minute monologue has been selected to be performed at Leicester Square Theatre in August as part of The Director's Club Showcase.

 

[24th April 2015] Slough Writers production of Plays in Practice at Burnham Library included an extract from my play Book Club.

 

[16th December 2014] Got a runner-up prize in the Gold TV Christmas cracker joke competition.

 

 

[1st December 2014] I managed to complete this year's NaNoWriMo challenge, producing 50,000 words of a novel during the month of November. Now beginning the proofing and editing of The Title Holders' New Challenge.

 

 

[22nd Sept 2014] Submitted story A Fitting Outcome to Words with JAM spoof genre competition.

 

[5th May 2014]  My short story 'After the Rains Fall' is in the May issue of Readers' Digest.

   

[23rd March 2014]  My play - Imperfect Speakers - was performed by the Cowra M&D group, NSW Australia, as part of the Cowra 50th anniversary of Festival of International Understanding.

 

[2nd March 2014] Runner-up prize in Readers' Digest 100 word short story competition.

 

 

[16th January 2014]  Short story, Lost in Translation, published in Dark Places Magazine Vol.5. - available on Amazon Kindle £0.77p.

 

 

[8th January 2014]  Now starting to edit A Park Full of Pelicans. Also writing opening chapters of Idle Times of a Failed Buddhist (working title).

 

 

[12th November 2013]  Won second prize in the Slough Writers Poetry Anthology    Competition (see my poetry page for a selection)
